He followed behind, warm in his shadow;
Aspiring to one day fill his boots.
Today he felt much bigger than his nine years of age;
Because of the man he followed.
He may not be that significant to the rest of the world,
With his grunge and stains.
But behind the rough exterior, stands a Duty, a Father;
The Vocation that brings up nations.
And a Little boy who, for better and worse,
Looks up, and, with unblemished esteem,
Believes all that he sees.
One day hoping to achieve
The same greatness that stands before him.
